Dear List,

I think that it is time to summarize this Corn Beef thing. So here
are the posts that I think will have a barring on the topic.

Below are some responses that I received about Corn Beer.

Dubuque Corned Beef is GF. We checked a few months ago and we have had
two in the past six weeks with no reaction. You can email them from their
website as I recall.

I get corned beef that has the spice packet separate, and throw the packet
away. I use about 2 teaspoons of McCormick's Mixed Pickling Spice for
seasoning and cook per the package directions.

Have posted 3 corned beef recipes on this site:

There's a free recipe at www.cooksillustrated.com on how to make your own.

With St. Patrick's Day right around the corner, I started checking into
Corned Beef Briskets that are GF. I found one at Costco called Bill
Bailey's Irish Brand, distributed by Square-H Brands in Los Angeles
(323/267-4600). I spoke with a very knowledgeable guy named Bob today,
who verified that the corned beef brisket is, in fact, GF. Enjoy!

I hope that this takes care of Saint Patty's Day.
