Recipients of the Celiac Champion Award:

Dr. Alessio Fasano - For leading the US Celiac Prevalence Study which
reported that the prevalence of celiac disease in the US is 1 in 133--and
for his perseverance when the medical establishment was telling him this
study couldn't and shouldn't be done.

Bette Hagman - For her dedication in creating great tasting recipes for
generations of celiacs to enjoy, and providing excellent information about
celiac disease in her books at a time when little information was available.

The Gluten-Free Trading Company, founders John Shaw and Linda Kramer - for
their passionate support of the celiac community in the Midwest, through
their participation in awareness events, their grocery store on wheels, and
their every day advocacy.
