I had only a few responses.

2 said the hot salsa is not gluten-free.  The response I had from the company states that the hot salsa uses white vinegar.  That may be where some of the caution comes in.

Others said they felt the chance for cross-contamination was small.  

No one stated they had problems with the food.

It seems to come down to individual choice (with awareness). Thanks for your responses!
