Hello.
I am posing this question for a friend. He was diagnosed by a full panel of CD blood tests and biopsy as positive for CD. The results were highly conclusive (e.g., extremely elevated levels in blood, very obvious damage in biopsy slides). He immediately began a GF diet. For the past 5 months, he has been GF.

He feels WORSE now than before. Energy and overall physical well-being are dramatically worsened. He is a marathon runner and has had great difficulty in continuing his training through this.

Question #1: Why might possibly he feel worse?

Question #2: Will this bad feeling last beyond one year?

Question #3: Any suggestions??

Thank you,
Teresa A Van Nuland
