Dear Listmates,

My 12 year old son just went for his yearly check-up with one of the
foremost pediatric gastroenterologists here in Israel, at Hadassah
Hospital. He mentioned that nowadays (my son's last biopsy was 7
years ago), only 1 biopsy is done to diagnose celiac, and that is at
the beginning, and challenges are no longer done. I was really
surprised to hear this because many of you in the US and other places
write e-mails describing your multiple biopsies and challenge tests.

What is the prevailing school these days?

Thanks for any responses.
