Hello everyone,

Since responding to a post about Wendy's chili possibly containing gluten
even though it has been said to be GF (I too had similar bad reaction),I
have come across info. directly from Wendy's web-site. Their address is:
http://www.wendys.com/gluten.htm
Concerning their chili: They do say it is GF.
The "natural flavoring" consists of white pepper (which I understand is
questionable), clove, allspice and cinnamon.
"Modified food starch" source is from corn as are "maltodextrin, and caramel
color".
This sounds good, but I still got sick! Maybe my reaction was to another
unknown culprit but I don't think I'll chance it again.
I'm a newly diagnosed celiac and I find this list to be a wealth of
information.
Thank you everyone, especially the list owners for all your help and support.
I especially want to say thanks to Max Desorgher for his elloquently stated
post of 8/17/96. I totally agree, acute sensitivity should not be minimalized.
He also pointed out what a silent destroyer gluten can be even in persons
with less sensitivity. It took me over 20 years to find the cause of my
illness. This disease has taken a great toll on my health and well being, as
a result I intend to be diligent about my diet!

Looking forward to good health returning and wish the same to you all! :-)
Jacqueline
