Hello Listmates!

I was asked via email to donate items to the John J Kelly Celiac Foundation for their annual golf event. I was about to do so when I realized I better check to see if they were a legitimate organization. I found this online - https://www2.guidestar.org/profile/13-4022685 which states, " This organization has not appeared on the IRS Business Master File in a number of months. It may have merged with another organization or ceased operations. This organization's exempt status was automatically revoked by the IRS for failure to file a Form 990, 990-EZ, 990-N, or 990-PF for 3 consecutive years. Further investigation and due diligence are warranted."

I emailed the person back and they replied, " It appears there was an accounting issue regarding the John J Kelly Celiac Foundation TAX ID, our accountant is working to remedy this. Thank you for bringing this to our attention."

What matter goes unhandled for three years?

I just wanted to bring this the attention of any other businesses who may have been contacted by them.
