Thanks to everyone who responded.
The general concensus was the Outback is a great place to go as long as you
pay attention to the cross-contamination issue.
Bring along a GF menu from outbacksteakhouse.com
Notify the manager, chef, and waiter about your concerns.

Show staff celiac restaurant card.
One former employee with CD wrote in to express caution regarding cross
contamination possibilities with utensils, and the grill ( they also heat the
buns on the grill) -suggested making the manager aware of this.
One person only ate steamed fish and veggies.
