All,

Below is a list of the responses I got concerning travel to Albany, NY.
There is repeat info since I did not really suumerize. I wanted to make sure
I
did not leave anything out.

Here Ya Go!

====================
I live an hour north of albany and someone sent a summary out so I saved
it....here it is....I have been to Basic Foods, it has the largest selection
of
gluten free foods that I've ever seen. Whenever I travel I check out grocery

stores, etc, and Basic Foods is absolutely amazing. It's probably about
1/2
hr north of albany but well worth the trip.

Near West Point
9. In the West Point area, you might want to visit Amarone's Italian
Cuisine, located at 62 Wood Road, Sugar Loaf NY 10981, 845-469-4405.
They buy
products from a dedicated gluten-free bakery in nearby Chester, stock
gluten-free
pasta and take care to avoid cross-contamination in the kitchen. I also
visited them on Memorial Day weekend, and they were willing to adapt almost
anything on the menu for me.
10. There is a Restaurant, Restaurant X, in Congers, NY a little south of
West Point that will do gluten free meals. 845-268-6555 www.xaviars.com

Dean's Health Food Store in Westgate Shopping Center, Paradise Health Food
in Guilderland, and The Highlands Restaurant in Knox. I would be glad to
provide directions. If you go to The Highlands, let the chef know you want
your
food gluten free and it's no problem. They have an award winning dessert
made
with chocolate that is to die for.
