HELD AT THE SENIOR CENTER AT CASCADES MARKETPLACE
21060 WHITEFIELD PLACE, STERLING VA.

is a 45-minute slide presentation reviewing the basics of celiac disease.

complications and associated. In the nutrition portion, we will review
prohibited, questionable and allowable grains, hidden gluten, nutritional
concerns, and tips and resources for staying healthy on a gluten-free diet.

This presentation will be given by Melinda Dennis MA the founder, former

Celiac/DH Support Group, Chapter #67 of CSA/USA, Inc. Her own diagnosis with
celiac disease and dermatitis herpetiformis (DH) motivated her to pursue a
profession in nutrition. Melinda is currently a candidate for a Master of

and is completing the registered dietitian coursework this spring. For her
master's project, she and her research partner developed an educational
