Hi Everyone,
Someone asked if using oatmeal baths for DH is okay?

Q. Can gluten be absorbed through the skin?
A. To my knowlege, gluten cannot be absorbed through the skin. I have
seen patients who are involved in the baking industry, who of necessity
breathe large amounts of flour, and this has caused problems. However,
I've seen no reports of absorption from touching gluten while preparing
food. Gluten that might be present in topically applied makeups and skin
lotions is not absorbed because of the large size of these protein
molecules.
Personal note: I do not have DH, however, many people have questioned
this topic. Hope this helps!
