mike ( i think) was asking about a "gluten tester". i have not seen anything
that could be described as such - yet - but i have seen an ad. in the coeliac
society journal (australia) for a company that is developing something
along the lines of a "dipstick" tester for gluten (sort of like a home
pregnancy test), but i have no idea if and when such a thing will become
commercially available. there are home test kits available, but again i
haven't seen one, but i expect they are not simple enough to take to
restaurants etc. if anyone is interested in the "dipstick" tester let me
know and i'll give the company a call and find out more.
