Hi,

I asked if Heinz Tomato Ketchup is gluten free.

I thank everybody who wrote. I got more than 50 answers.

A large number of people from the States, Canada and other countries in
Europe said Heinz is gf and they use it with no problems. Some pointed
out, Heinz sold in Italy could be made somewhere else and therefore not
necessarily gf. One person said Heinz Ketchup is listed as gf in the
Heinz web site. Two persons told me about the issue of distilled
vinegar, contained in the Ketchup, wich could be distilled from
forbidden cereals.

One person sent me a statement he got from Heinz, assuring that vinegar is
not distilled from wheat but from a gf source.

Yesterday, in a different supermarket, I found a Heinz Ketchup in plastic
bottle, made in Portugal, whose label stated gf.

Bye
Maria Paola
