we just returned from quebec -- what a great trip ...

i packed one loaf of gf bread.

we rented an apartment in the old city so we'd have a kitchen -- small grocery stores just outside the city walls, including one on rue st. jean with a gf section (la carotte joyeuse). we also ate loads of fresh fruits and veggies from the market in the old port and while traveling around ile d'orleans (outside quebec city).

in terms of restaurants, waiters seem much more informed about gf, cross-contamination issues than in u.s.

we ate safely at:

cafe du monde
l'entrecote saint jean
l'initiale (just outside old city)
le pain beni

hope this is helpful
