Dear Esther,

The only reliable restaurant we've yet found in Bristol is
the Avon Gorge Hotel. They WILL need prior notice. The
food is pretty boring English but some folk like that sort
of thing. Make sure your friend gets my telephone number
off my sign off (and fax) they are works numbers 9am - 5 pm
but fax is on all the time. Get them to get in contact so
I can help as much as possible.
Is this friend going to be able to self cater? If so I
recommend the gluten-free sausages at "Mason's of the Mall"
in Clifton. They usually have about 10 different varieties
of GF and they vary between boring and ambrosial.
