For those in Willcox, AZ and the surrounding areas, Gluten Intolerance Group of South East Arizona has arranged for speaker Sara Vollmer to be in Willcox, AZ on April 4, 2013. She will be speaking at the Elsie S. Hogan Library, 100 N. Curtis Ave., Willcox, AZ at 6:55 p.m.
Sara Vollmer
was diagnosed as an 11 month old child with Celiac Disease and her parents were told she would grow out of it. So, she was back on regular food, but
sick most of her life. She began searching for answers at 27 years old and 3 years later was finally diagnosed with Dermatitis Herpetiformis in April
2007.

Sara
is the co-manager of the Gluten Intolerance Group of Fargo/Moorhead and
 co-chair
of their biannual Gluten Intolerance Education Conference held in Fargo,
ND. Getting this disease has empowered her to educate 1 person at a
time. Empowerment
to
find good in every day and when those eating gluten free educate
themselves often, the gluten free diet becomes less overwhelming every
day. Being
gluten free isn’t the worst thing and with humor and a good support system, it becomes easier to feel less “delicate.”
