Thought this was interesting. We received tons of suggestions about
allergy testing--thanks for all of them. When we asked our pediatric GI
specialist about ELISA testing (and other allergy testing) our 10 month
old she explained that food allergy tests in a child this young are VERY
inaccurate due to their underdeveloped immune system...we would get false
positives/negatives, etc. She is very well respected and came HIGHLY
recommended to us, so I think we will follow her advice for now. What we
are doing is giving him Gatorade for 24 hrs. Then soy formula for 24
hours. Then, slowly, one at a time we will add simple foods until we find
what else is bothering him. FUN! Someone on the list suggested that rice
cereal could be bothering him. I'll be interested to see if that's it. We
do make sure he has the kind w/out malt.

Well, thanks for all the suggestions. Since those tests can be expensive,
I figured those of you out there with Celiac infants would be interested
in this... when we spend that kind of money we want accurate results!!: )
