If anyone has had experience with Marriott Sodexho foods as a food service
provider for colleges, I would like to hear about your experience with them.
They have been unable to provide gf foods for our college-age daughter.

They did an outstanding job of creating a dedicated gf area for food
preparation, including a separate convection oven. However, they cannot
determine if their foods, spices, etc. are gluten free. I have attempted to
help them, it is difficult as the food is obtained via Marriott procurement,
which obtains the products from various brokers and distributors. Most of the
products do not have a contact number to call and verify. They have been
unable to purchase commercial food products for her use.

Marriott Sodexho provides campus food services all over the country. I cannot
believe this is the first celiac they have encountered. We were recently told
that Marriott oftens has celiac students "opt out" of the food service
program because it is so difficult to prepare the food.

Our daughter is now preparing her own food and eating meals alone in her dorm
room. I cook food ahead which she reheats in her microwave. She has a
microwave and fridge and that is it. Not even a sink to wash dishes. It is
certainly a hassle as well as socially isolating. It would be nice if she
could join her friends to dine with them again. Anyone with experience or
advice regarding this particular food service provider that they can share
would be most appreciated. Thank you.
