I was at Whole Foods recently and they had a new gluten-free cake mix. At least new to me. I bought all three flavors and made one, which was delicious.

They have Dutch Chocolate, Vanilla & Lemon.

The maker is Dowd & Rogers. They have a web-site on their packaging:

www.dowdandrogers.com

Go figure.

And a phone number: 916/451-6480 in Sacramento, CA

Anyway, my son is the one with celiac. I had made the cake for a birthday party he was going to and it was all my husband and I could do to not pick at the cake. We kept eating and eating. We made sure he had his slice for the party, though.

Very tasty, no aftertaste.

Now, if one of these cake companies could come up with a two layer mix. Yes, this only makes a one layer.
