For a great afternoon of food, entertainment and information

        SUNDAY, MAY 2, 1999 1:30-6:00 p.m.

GREATER BALTIMORE MEDICAL CENTER: Physicians Pavilion East
                                  6500 North Charles Street
                                  Towson, MD

THE DAY WILL BEGIN with the opportunity for all friends, spouses and
First & Second Degree Relatives of Celiacs to be tested as part of the
on going U of MD Center For Celiac Research's Serologic Study of the
Prevalence of Celiac Disease in the USA. There is NO CHARGE for these
services. The results will become part of this very important study and
will be made available to participants. Those with positive indications
will be advised to have an intestinal biopsy completed by their own
qualified medical practitioner for final determination. Dr. Alessio
Fasano will address us with a brief update of the study.

THEN: CAROL FENSTER, Ph.D. author of three gluten-free and more
cookbooks will speak to us on "Special Diet Celebrations" (which is the
title of her latest cookbook) without wheat, gluten, dairy or eggs. She
is renowned for her practical yet in-depth approach to cooking for those
of us on special diets. Her new cookbook will be available for your
review and purchase.

LASTLY - After listening to Carol talk about it, we'll then have the
opportunity to taste and purchase FOOD, FOOD, FOOD from a great list of
Gluten-free Suppliers: The Gluten-free Pantry, Mrs. Robens, Kinnikinnik,
Ener-G Foods, MenuDirect (Dietary Specialties), Lewis Natural Products,
Bob & Ruth's Crackers, Foods By George and (not quite food, but
sometimes even more important) Stokes Pharmacy.

RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED AS SEATING IS LIMITED. A MINIMUM CONTRIBUTION
OF $5.00 PER ADULT FOR THE SPEAKER AND FOOD SHOW WILL RESERVE A SEAT.
ALL PROCEEDS WILL BE CONTRIBUTED TO THE CENTER FOR CELIAC RESEARCH.
