I experienced severe bloating, nausea, and light-headedness within an
hour  of swallowing a tetracycline capsule this morning (for a skin
condition).  Suspecting gluten, I called up the pharmacist who found
lactose in the manufacturer's list of ingredients.  He says there is
no alternative for me, other than taking lactaid tablets.  As I've
already mentioned in a previous posting, lactaid tablets don't work
for me.  Has anyone else had this problem before?  How did you deal
with it?
 
I've left a message for my physician, but I'm not hopeful.  She doesn't
seem to know much about cd.  I'd really appreciate your help.  Meantime
I am discontinuing the antibiotic.
