My son didn't show improvement until about 6 weeks. He was also on steroids
to help at the beginning.   We had to keep him off all milk products too as
well as soy.  Now, after a year and a half of doing very well, he can handle
cheese and small amounts of lactose free milk, and small amounts of items
made with soy.  I must admit that I was never so elated as seeing his first
firm stool at the age of three.  Hang in there.
