A few weeks ago I asked anyone with information connecting endometriosis
and/or "hot feet" to celiac disease to contact me. I was hoping for some
documented evidence of correlations among the three conditions, and a
clearer definition of "hot feet." Thanks to those who responded . . . .
In summary, I did not receive anything "concrete" and it is difficult to
posit a causal relationship--within a population of people with cd, a
subset of individuals who share another condition can be attributed to
random chance. However, one reply did state that the link between
endometriosis and cd is established; I have been told that there is also
a link between endometriosis and "hot feet." Another reply stated that
his "hot feet" had been diagnosed as "peripheral neuropathy" (hands and
mouth were also affected). This diagnosis seems logical; I saw my
orthopedic neurosurgeon (I've had two spinal fusions) who suggested on
the basis of my symptoms that a degree of neuropathy was present. There
doesn't seem to be anything to be done about the condition, so I don't
intend to do any specific testing.

I would be interested to hear from anyone who has any other anecdotal or
documented information on either endometriosis or "hot feet"--again,
please contact me directly at [log in to unmask] I am hoping to find
the time to conduct a MedLine search to see if I can come up with some
empirically established connections; I will post any results.

Thanks again to those who responded; be well and have a happy holiday!
