Today myself and another lady represented our local support group on the
radio. We had a 20 minute spot to discuss all the aspects of celiac
disease. The moderator got so involved that he forgot to watch the time
and we must have run over by a good 10 to 15 minutes. But....we got the
word out there. I think he was totally amazed at the information we were
giving him.

Perhaps local stations in your area have similar type programs where the
public is invited in to discuss important issues. This would be a
wonderful way to get the word out to more people. The feedback has been
great. So far, we have had stories in the local newspaper twice, one year
apart, and this time the radio. We can educate the public. We just need
to find the ways to do it in our own neighborhoods!!
