I just spent three days in beautiful Vancouvr, BC. My daughter had just
returned from 3 weeks a Camp Malibu so we thought we would play a bit
before going home. We saw Le Mis again!!! Eating was a-ok but I did
want to tell you of a positive from a manager and verify this as true.
Since Amanda had been at camp she wanted regular food. One night we
stopped at Planet Hollywood downtown. I had the same meal as in
Atlanta, grilled chicken, salad and their special whipped red potatos.
Excellent!!! Anyway the potatos were so wonderful and the consistency
so creamy I though this has to have some flour in it. So I asked the
waiter he confirmed that it DID NOT. A few minutes later the manager
came over and also said that was fact and explained how they were made.
Anyway we continued talking and she said that in Canada, it is illegal
to cook anything in a deepfryer that has breading and then plain foods,
french fries specifically. She said that the problem is that so many
people are are allergic to fish. This is an interesting concept. Is it
so by Canadian law? This would be good information to pass on to those
of us who travel and visit in your lovely country. Thanks in advance
for the verification of this information. rz
