People who are immune-compromised include:

o transplant patients on immuno-suppressive drugs
o cancer patients who have received chemotherapy
o HIV/AIDS patients
o people with severe allergies to food or other substances (e.g. dust)
o people with auto-immune disorders (see next paragraph)

How do you know if you are immune-compromised? Ask your own doctor. BUT -
if you are an adult in the US under 65 years of age, and *told* to have a
flu shot by your doctor/allergist, require antibiotics more than once
every couple of years to fight an infection (e.g. recurrent sinusitis),
have had more than one bout with pneumonia... any of these things are
pretty good indications of a compromised immune system. Note that things
like severe allergies, auto-immune disorders (like CELIAC, lupus,
Sjogren's,) and diabetes (which may also be an auto-immune disorder) will
also pretty much lump you in the "compromised immune system" category...
