I came across a gluten free hand out that had a list of items to avoid that can have gluten. It include white vinegar and rapid rise yeast. Also on the list are rice syrup, and red and yellow colorings/dyes.  

Can people give me a consensus as to if these items always have gluten or just need to be confirmed gluten free by the manufacturer?
