I was diagnosed with Grover's Disease in March - steroid cream made it worse - dermatologist and allergist both refused to give me prednisone because of side effects.  I was treating it myself with high doses of Benedryl.  That worked for a while but itching got into my scalp and I went back to dermatologist.  She sent me to the lab and found out I low thyroid so next week I see dr. about it.  She gave ma prescription of Hydroxyzine antihistamine (25 mg) and it takes itching away within 2 hours.
 
Do any of you have suggestions for low thyroid medication?  I'll summarize - thanks.
