Hi Friends,
I was put on BP meds this week. (BP was 140 (something) over 107)
Anyway, the med I was given is a low dose of Monopril made by Bristol-Myers
Sqibb. I called them and they told me that the med was GF. However, the
literature that came with the med told me what possible side effects to
watch for...and one is diarrhea! Guess what...I had a terrible bout of
diarrhea!

What I would like to know is:

Is there anyone else on the list who has high BP and takes this med and has
this reaction? Does it eventually go away? OR, is there anyone out there
who is taking another type of BP med and it does not have this side effect?
Is this strictly hereditary, or have I been mismanaging my health? AND, is
there anyone out there who can tell me another way to handle this problem
without the meds? My Dr. has left me clueless about managing this problem.
I would like a bit more info than "here take these pills and come back in
two weeks."

Sorry to go on like this, but after finally getting my gut under
control, the last thing I want is a med that gives me the same reaction I
just cured!

Thanks so much,
Lynda
