Ann,

You needn't make a trip to an Asian market to get sweet rice flour.  I buy
Mochiko brank sweet rice flour in the Oriental food section (white box with
blue & red lettering) of any of the grocery stores here (Safeway, Thriftway,
Albertson, Top Foods).  That's pretty easy!  I know Ener-g Foods also sells
it and when I make a run to Seattle I often pick up some along with my rice
flour and bran.  I haven't had any trouble with Mochiko in terms of
cross-contamination, but I've never called them to ask about their process.
