Thank you to all who have responded in the last week or so to my post
regarding my non-absorption of iron. I have been startled by the
response, both to the Celiac list, and also by the great many who have
e-mailed me directly to share their own experiences with this problem.

In the whole, the most typical response has been a general note of
sympathy for the condition and the helpful reassurance that my gluten
free diet should right the problem itself. I think this, in part, is
what I am finding.

Many thanks to the many responses suggesting different sources of iron
which include:

        a.. Vitamin B12
        a.. Golgari Gentle Iron
        a.. Intra Muscular Ironn
        a.. Chelated Minerals
        a.. L. Glutamine with Megadopholus
a.. Herbal iron suppliment in liquid form called floradix
Regarding other sources of iron, a number of people suggested that I
should ask for iron injections which, in many cases, has proved to be
the most reliable source of iron supplements. Many thanks to all those
of you who suggested other ideas, including the more natural sources of
iron. The one I have opted for is paediatric iron in syrup form, 5ml 3
times a day.=20

Again, thank you all.

Frank Leyland.
