Thanks to all who gave me suggestions of restaurants for my trip to AZ.
Too bad I wasn't there long enough to use all the suggestions. We did go
to the Havana Cafe which was suggested by a listmate. Everything was
delicious. I had the suggested chicken dish, black beans and rice.
Plenty of food. The chef was very helpful and knowledgable when I
called the afternoon before dining.

The second place we dine was Marco Polo's Supper Club. We had a superb
dinner there. Called ahead again and was very impressed with there
establishment. When we arrived the place was hopping. Our waiter gave a
very detailed description of the specials which sounded wonderful but to
me seemed difficult to alter to GF. Lots of Asian/ Italian blends of
recipes. Anyway, I asked for his attention and told him my situation
and that I was to inform him that the chef was aware of my needs. He
informed me that the entire waitstaff had been informed of my dining
needs and that Chef Karl would be making my meal. Chef Karl did a great
job with the fish and veggies- beautifully presented too.

After dinner he came to the table . A very well-educated chef . I felt
very special and lucky.
