Hi All--

I just checked with Kraft to find out if the Velveeta
sold in the US was gf. According to the rep I spoke
to, yes, it is gluten free - no matter how it is
packaged - as single slices or in the box.

I've read on this list and seen on Abigail's food list
that Velveeta sold in the US contains gluten, but
Velveeta sold in Canada does not contain gluten. I
told the rep that other sources of information on the
gluten status of Velveeta indicated that US Velveeta
contained gluten. The rep didn't know where that
information was coming from unless it was old info...

If anyone has information that contradicts what I just
learned from Kraft, feel free to let me know. I doubt,
however, that I will do a summary. This is an issue
that seems to be best decided by the individual - I
saw nothing listed in the ingredients that reflected
gluten, so with what I know now, I plan to buy
Velveeta for my mac and cheese!

Cheers,
Ayn
