Miscellaneous Notes:
--------------------

Cathy Flick found a brand of microwave popcorn with no oils or other
added ingredients. "Pop-Lite" is organically grown microwave
popcorn, with no salt, fat, or heat susceptors added. Contact Walnut
Acres, 1-800-433-3998. The cost is two boxes for $5.99, plus
shipping. (This information comes to us from the CELIAC e-mail list
on the Internet.)

San-J: San-J makes a GF tamari sauce (sometimes called soy sauce).
The Gold Label Organic variety is gluten free, according to their R&D
food technologist Susan Marston. The alcohol it contains is derived
from corn. American Bulk Food in Clinton Township carries this
product, or you can call Susan at (804) 226-8333 to find a store near
you.

Famous Pacific Dessert Company: This company makes GF desserts,
including cakes, tortes, and raspberry topping, according to Marilyn
Ponto. Write: Famous Pacific Dessert Co., 2414 S.W. Andover,
Seattle, WA 98106, or call: (800) 666-1950.

More From Boston Chicken: A recent phone call to Boston Chicken
opens up more possibilities for celiacs. Their turkey is made fresh
using the same marinade as the chicken, and is therefore safe for
celiacs. Also, they use brown sugar, honey, and apple cider vinegar
in preparing their ham, so it is also safe for celiacs.

I learned I had Celiac Sprue.
    It's so overwhelming! So new!
       But with my support group
       My spirits won't droop;
With their help I know I'll come through.
