Many thanks to all that responded. This group is just awesome - you all
make my life so much easier!

This vacation was by far the best GF one I have taken since I was diagnosed
in 1997.

We stayed at the Embassy Suites in Kingston Plantation. Chef Julian was
most helpful in tending to GF concerns. The breakfast buffet had many GF
choices, what a great way to start the day. We did have lunch at the
Fisheye Grill twice and a quick late night dinner there as well.

Dixie Stampede is great entertainment (similar to Medieval Times cowboy
style) for the entire family. The only thing I could not have was the corn
on the cob and the apple turnover desert. Our waitress was very diligent in
assuring me what was GF and in serving mine so I did not have to be
concerned with cross contamination.

Margaritaville has an outstanding GF menu - including GF buns!!! The chef
came out to the table to see what I like, explain the GF prep and the items
and their contents. I had a 7 & 5 year old with me. The loved the
entertainment and the food. We were all so pleased we retuned the next day
for a great experience repeat. Thanks so much Natalie for sharing your
outstanding experience!

Cheesburger in Paradise was another stop - also many GF choices on the menu.

We had dinner at Carraba's. It was very good but nothing out of the
ordinary.

A listmate suggested Tony Roma's - we did not make it there but here is a
response she received - along with Kim's suggestions. Thank you Kim!

Tony Roma's sent this to me:

While Tony Roma's does not offer a nutritional guide at this time, we can
tell you Tony Roma's Barbecue Sauces, ribs, grilled chicken, steaks and
grilled fish are gluten free.

It is important for our valued guest to know our fry oil is shared with
gluten products and cross-contamination is an expectation and evident in any
fried item such as chicken tenders, French fries, tortilla chips, etc.

Also, there are a few restaurants that have GF Menus:

Cheeseburger in Paradise

Bonefish Grill

Outback Steakhouse

Rita's (has GF ice cream/custard)

Cold Stone (has GF options)

Hershey's Ice Cream is GF, but stay away from obvious issues...cookies,
brownies, cake ice cream.

Chik-fil-A

Bonefish & Outback are only open for dinner, just so you know.

I have emailed Senor Frog's & Greg Norman's Australian Grille, but have yet
to hear back.

I was sorry I missed Chik-fil-A and Rita's as we do not have them in
Chicago area. This gives me a reason to return to Myrtle Beach! This is my
first ever trip without accidental reaction.

It is just amazing how far we have come~

Lynn
