I recently contacted glaceau - makes of smart, fruit, and vitaminwater.  I had more of a question about corn protein than gluten, but they responded so quickly and nicely, I thought I would pass on their reply!

our fruitwater, vitaminwater and smartwater products are gluten free.

the crystalline fructose in our products is derived from corn, however people
who have corn allergies are typically allergic to the protein that is present in
corn.  our crystalline fructose does not contain any protein,

anyone with food allergies should consult a medical professional for advice on
acceptable foods and ingredients.
