Thank you to all of those who corrected my mistakes on the list I had
compiled for my client. I got unanimous replies that Corn Flakes and
Rice Chex are NOT gluten free. I will remove these items from the list,
as well as alpha bits, and honey comb, as they contain oat flour. I
will warn her as well of the cross contamination issue on the rest of
the cereals. She is certainly having a difficult time with all of these
constant changes, and has no computer access to keep her current. I did
compile this list from replies I got from this list, so obviously, being
celiac and sticking to a gluten free diet is extremely complicated.
Denise Dodd also explained that Snickers bars are not gluten free as
well.
Again, I thank you all for your replies, and if ANYONE has more ideas
and information to add, I would greatly appreciate it. It seems her
financial situation may be getting worse, so we are going to need even
more help.
