For those of you who are new to the list, Passover is the time of year to
stock up on gluten free goodies. I live in the PA and Pathmark carries
products by The Shabtai Gourmet. I just bought several types of cookies,
cakes and my daughter's favorite, Wing Tings, which are a take off on
Drake's Wing Dings. These foods are only in the supermarket around Passover
but they keep a year in the freezer. The labels on the Shabtai Gourmet reads
gluten free but there are other Kosher for Passover manufactures who do not
list the GF on the package. Read the labels and you will find many are
gluten free. Avoid any products that have Matzo or Matzo meal. I found some
goodies in a local Genuardi's. No matter what your faith or culture, these
baked goods are too good to pass up. I wish other gluten free vendors would
duplicate these products and have the available all year long.
