Does anyone know anything about the new policy of Farmland to treat their "fresh" pork with a 12% solution of sugars and salts? As far as I can tell, this means the pork is no longer truly fresh but is preserved like ham. The pork that is soaked this way is just unbearably salty to me, and it bothers my stomach. I'm wondering whether there's something they've added that we shouldn't eat.

I don't have the list of sugars and salts they've used; I'll get it the next time I go to the store.

Thanks.

Laurel
