You have to be careful as most Soy milks have barley in them...I know that OH
SOY is GF and so is SOY DREAM...not RICE DREAM.

check out the foods listed at www.gfcfdiet.com It's a site for autistic
child who are treated w/ g.f. and casein (milk protein) free diets.

SOY DREAM made by Imagine is supposed to be GF and we have used it without
any trouble for several years.

Hi Larry, I use and like Eden Blend Rice and Soy Beverage. I have
purchased it at Whole Foods and at a large grocery store in town.

Hi, Larry,

Soy Dream, from Imagine Foods, is gf (but not Imagine's Rice Dream).
Silk is now gf, according to the manufacturer, White Wave. They switched to
a strictly corn-based alcohol for their flavorings in Dec. 1999, according
to a post last month in the List archives

"So Good" soymilk is soooooo good! The vanilla flavour that is. I
personally don't care for the plain or chocolate flavours. I haven't tried
strawberry. It is the best-tasting soymilk I have found and it is
gluten-free. I called the manufacturer.

Larry, all varieties of Pacific brand rice and soy milks are GF, and I like
them much better than any westsoy or westbrae products. BTW, do not trust
anything from Westbrae: they don't seem to know the difference between
wheat free and gluten free. They will readily tell you they will send you a
list of gluten free products, then will send you a list of wheat free.
Much, but not all, of their stuff is sweetened with "rice syrup" and that
usually, but again not always, has barley in it -- hence the gluten which
was ruining me little be little till I figured it out. Some of their
products may well be GF, but you can't be sure which ones.

Also, my favorite is Better Than Milk. It's definitely GF, and I think the
best tasting after you take a week to get used to the taste: it's a little
thin, like the first time you tried non-fat milk. But it has the lowest fat
ratio with the highest calcium I could find. Best wishes over there in the
rain :) -vance, Whidbey

Hi, Larry

My understanding is that the White Wave Silk Soy Milks are all GF. They
didn't used to be, but now they are using corn in their formula instead of
barley.

I especially like the vanilla. Yum.

alternatives. I don't know anything about them though. Janet Modesto, CA
