Hi friends,
I received two responses to my question about Skittles and it's a YES they
are gluten-free.

One listmember stated:
I received a letter dated Jan 23, 97  stating skittles were GF as well as
Starburst  fruit chews  and Uncle Ben's CONVERTED brand rice and brown rice.

and the other stated:
According to The Coeliac Society of Ireland publication:
"A List of GLUTEN-FREE Manufactured Products" October 1996
Skittles as made by Mars of Slough England are gluten-free
