I, like Stephanie, read about Manfred's biopsy experience with shivers. My
biopsy experience was not total sedation, but simply mild sedation.

I was aware of things happening around me, a feeling of something happening
in my throat (but not caring) and then it was over. It felt like a couple
of minutes had passed. Next thing you know, I was sitting there talking to
the doctor about my results and then my husband and I left the hospital and
had lunch. I never even had a sore throat!

Obviously, I would opt for sedation over none any day.
