Prospective Audit of Food Intolerance Supports York Nutritional
Laboratories' Finger-Stick IgG ELISA Test For Relieving Symptoms
Associated With Migraines

HOLLYWOOD, FL USA – March 1, 2005 -- A paper, A Prospective Audit of Food
Intolerance Among Migraine Patients in primary Care Clinical Practice,
brings new hope for those suffering from the debilitating effects of
migraine headaches.

The audit, which was presented in Lisbon at the Third Congress of Headache
Care for Practicing Clinicians, was set up to investigate if migraine
sufferers had evidence of IgG-based food intolerance and whether their
condition could be improved by the withdrawal from the diet specific foods
identified by intolerance testing.

A marked proportion of the migraine patients benefited from the dietary
intervention, with approximately 30% and 40% reporting considerable
benefit at 1 and 2 months, respectively. Additionally, over 60% of
patients who reintroduced suspect foods back into their diets reported the
return of their migraine symptoms.

The audit demonstrated that food intolerance mediated via IgG may play a
part in the development of migraine attacks and that changing the diet to
eradicate specific foods is a potentially effective treatment for migraine.
