celiacs passed away on April 16, 1995 in Frankfort Kentucky. Pat will
always be remembered for her work as one of the initial organizers of

7. October is considered to be Celiac Sprue month by several national
groups in the US and Canada.

8. Who says that GF must always be plain: A Wyoming celiac won the
All American City Celebration Grand Prize on September 23, 1994, for
her apple pie. Using the recipe (Donna Jo's Dream Pastry) from Bette
Hagman's second cookbook, she demonstrated that GF food is excellent.

9. Disaster Preparedness: The possibility of being evicted from your
home by a major natural disaster is not limited to certain dates. In
Florida, the summer and hurricane season go hand in hand. This is not
the only natural disaster; floods and fires are examples that can
happen at anytime. It is critical that you plan several courses of
action. Consider adding Ensure or Ensure Plus to your stockpile of
emergency rations. These GF products can supplement any available GF
foods to accomplish a well balanced meal. Additional thoughts on
disaster preparedness are available in previous issues of The
ActionLine.

10. US Support Groups: The ActionLine believes in the benefits of
attending a local support group meeting and whenever possible,
information on local groups is passed along about a local group to
support the resolution of a question. These are the known support
groups. Any additions would be appreciated or anyone that desires the
address may drop Mike Jones a note for the address of a group in an
area that you will be visiting or near a relative.
