Masa flour is basically just finely ground corn and therefore quite safe
except for the possibility of contamination
on the production line.
On caramel flavoring the responses were mixed. Some said that caramel
flavoring produced in the U.S.A. would
always come from corn, but none provided any source that would confirm
that as fact. So perhaps a check with                             the
FDA would be in order here, otherwise It's back to checking with the
manufacturer again.
