All,

I asked about GF chocolate confections - similar to Godiva, etc... Here is my
summary. Enjoy...

Most everyone recommended See's. www.sees.com I ordered some from CA
and they were indeed delicious!

I've tried contacting my local compnay with no success yet. However, the
following chocolatier was featured on the news this morning. The chocolate's
kind of expensive, but looking at the ingredients mentioned online, it looks
gluten-free (I have contacted the company myself). They even have a few no
sufar added options.

You might want to check out Vere chocolates. They're different from Godiva
(generally not as sweet), but gluten-free. http://tinyurl.com/33z8zp

Azure Chocolate on LI seems to be accommodating:

The chocolate truffles from www.roni-sue.com can be
extraordinary--chocolatiere Rhonda has been trying to make sure they're gf.

Also, I think Burdick now identifies a bunch of chocolates as gf. Order fast
if you're interested in them soon.

I think that Dagoba is gluten free - I'm a milk chocolate fan and it's
delicious.

Scharfenberger itself is gluten free but the bars are packed in a
facility that is not gf and I've had problems with it.

Not sure what part of the country you live in, but we do make chocolate
truffles (the classic type) that are gluten-free. We are in Baltimore,
Maryland. www.TenzoArtisan.com

Check out Chocolate Emporium, a very delicious gluten free candy
company...they sell online and their products are fantastic.

Tropical Source makes a great candy bar that's made in a gf facility,
but they don't have truffle-like goodies...
http://www.choclat.com/GFCF/gfcf.php can ship gf goodies. I go to a
local vegan place and get live fudge to help my chocoholic needs!

I am in the process of opening an on-line mail order business (Amante)
selling gf (allergen free) chocolate truffles. I should be able to take
orders and send within the next 2-4 weeks.

Piron, in Evanston, IL. <http://www.belgchocpiron.com/>

Try Amy's Own

While these chocolates are not necessary "filled" they are great chocolate and
have lots of varieties from dark to almond and cherry. We buy ours at Whole
Foods in Colorado but the chocolate is made in Oregon. And it is definitely GF.
Dagoba Organic Chocolate - website www.dagobachocolate.com

I understand that Ghiardelli is gluten-free (unless an added ingredient is
gluten-type)
