Sorry my post about Talk of the Nation came way too late to actually catch the program. NPR is doing a Women's Health series, and Part III (on Aug. 13) was about autoimmune diseases. The main question was "Why do autoimmune diseases strike women more frequently than men?" They didn't mention CD at all, but the info about autoimmune diseases in general was fairly informative. You can listen to the one-hour program at http://www.npr.org/programs/totn/ . There is also an online discussion and celiac is mentioned several times there. In fact, one discussion participant with MS recommends a gf diet to ease MS symptoms.
