 Since this  LISTSERV  is  International, a  discussion  of  inappropriate
 ingredients by countries might be helpful.  This information would simply
 things when traveling to different countries or when importing products.

 An example  of these  difference would  be  the use  of wheat  starch  in
 Canadian food items:  salt  shakers, confectioners sugar, baking  powder,
 etc.

 Cornflour has multiple meanings as an  ingredient.  Products sold in  the
 US must  refer to  an item  that is  corn or  corn starch.   The  British
 definition is "Meal  of Indian  corn ground  very fine,  also applies  to
 flour made of rice or other grain."  Also, a noted grain chemist is using
 the term in technical writing to refer to wheat starch.
