When I was first diagnosed 15 years ago and celiac was a "rare" disease, we were told that celiacs who do not follow a gf diet ran a very high risk of contrating colon cancer.  When gf and the gut healed, then the rate went far below the average.

That said, we know that celiac, diabetes and alcoholism are on the same gene strand.

This week the American Diabetes Association website ran an article stating that insulin dependent [did not specfy oral or injected] ran a high rate of colorectal cancer.  

Can't figure this out...same gene, different results?  doesn't make sense...which is it?

*Please provide references to back up claims of a product being GF or not GF*
