Always on the lookout for a new product that is gluten-free, I was very excited to find Alexia in the frozen food section of the market where I shop in Austin, TX. They are based in New York and produce an all natural, kosher certified line of frozen potato products. Now, these are not ordinary frozen potatoes. All were developed by a chef who left his job with a four-star Manhattan restaurant.

I contacted the company to assure that they were gluten-free and received a response from Richard Jacquez stating that not only are ALL their products free of gluten, but they are produced in a facility that manufactures nothing containing gluten. So there is no chance of cross contamination. His e-mail address is [log in to unmask]

The type I recently purchased is Yukon Gold Rissole Potatoes with Garden Herbs. The only ingredients are: Yukon Gold potatoes, Hi-Oleic canola oil, sea salt, parsley, roasted garlic powder, dill, chives, chervil and white pepper. My husband and I plan on having this with dinner.

Hope this helps! I have absolutely no affiliation with the company.
